How to add accounts to an interest pool
Assign eligible bank accounts to an interest pool from the pool or Bank Accounts page.
Add an eligible bank account to an interest pool so Flinq can calculate interest for it from the selected effective date.
Before you start
-
You need permission to create or edit interest pools.
-
The account must use the same bank and currency as the pool.
-
If the pool is limited to specific branches, the account must belong to one of those branches.
Add an account from the interest pool
-
Go to Interest Pooling > Interest Pools.
-
Open the interest pool.
-
In Bank Accounts, select Add account.
-
Choose the Effective from date.
-
Select the bank account. Flinq only shows accounts that are eligible for the pool on that date.
-
Confirm the assignment.
Add one or more accounts from Bank Accounts
-
Go to Banking > Bank Accounts.
-
For one account, open its actions and select Add to Interest Pool. For several accounts, select them and use the bulk Add to Interest Pool action.
-
Choose the effective date and interest pool.
-
Confirm the assignment.
Flinq keeps the assignment history and uses the selected pool from the effective date. If an account should not participate in pooling, use Exclude from Pooling instead.
If the account is not available
Check that its bank, currency and branch match the pool. An existing or future assignment on the same date, or a payment run covering the affected period, can also prevent the change.
Review the assignment history
After adding an account, open its Pool Assignment History to confirm the effective date and check for scheduled future changes. The current pool alone does not describe which pool applies to every historical date.
