How to interpret and export reports

Read book summaries and export Fixed Term Deposit records for reconciliation.

Katrin Erb Written by Katrin Erb Updated Published

Use book summaries for an operational view, and export selected Fixed Term Deposit records when you need a detailed reconciliation file.

Before you reconcile a report

Confirm the current office, office reporting currency, report date and the latest statement date available for each account. If you compare the result with a bank or accounting report, use the same scope and cut-off.

Interpret a book summary

Open Banking > Books, then open the book. Use the following definitions:

ValueMeaningReconciliation check
Book SizeTotal of the latest available balance entries for the book’s current accounts, expressed in the office reporting currency.Check book membership, statement dates and exchange-rate timing.
Number of AccountsCurrent bank-account count for the book.Compare the list of linked accounts, not a prior report’s count.
Interest EarnedInterest Pooling result when that feature and its financial metrics are available.Check the reporting period and whether confirmed payment or indicative statement data is being used.
Fixed Term DepositsDeposits currently associated with the book.Check each deposit’s status, effective amount, value date and maturity date.

A book summary is an operational view, not a bank confirmation or accounting ledger. A zero or missing interest value may mean that the book has no Interest Pooling metrics rather than that no interest was earned.

Filter the Fixed Term Deposit report

  1. Go to Fixed Term Deposits > FTDs.

  2. Filter by type, status, bank, managed entity, currency or book. Use Requires Action when the report is for operational follow-up.

  3. Review the filtered rows and select the records to include.

Export selected deposits

  1. Select one or more Fixed Term Deposit rows.

  2. Choose Export CSV.

  3. Open the downloaded file named with the ftd-log prefix and export timestamp.

The CSV includes the selected deposits’ identifiers, type, lineage, status, client, bank, currency, amounts, term, dates, confirmed rate, funding details, charges, book, notes, portal review, approval, confirmation and archive information. When indicative rates are enabled, it also includes the indicative rate.

Reconcile the export

  1. Confirm that the row count matches the selected records.

  2. Use FTD ID as the stable record reference and Rolled From to follow rollover lineage.

  3. Use confirmed amount, dates, rate and interest as the operational values once confirmation has been recorded. Before confirmation, requested or indicative values remain subject to bank confirmation.

  4. Separate principal, interest, cash management charge (CMC), bank break charges and other fees. Do not treat the net return as principal alone.

  5. Investigate differences against the record timeline and supporting documents.

A value does not match

Check the selected office, filters, book membership, effective confirmed values, source statement dates, office reporting currency and exchange-rate timing. If the difference remains, contact Support through an approved channel with the office, report timestamp, FTD IDs or non-sensitive account references, and the exact columns that differ.
